When a well-known multinational IT company planned its corporate fun day for employees on 5 July 2024, the events team envisioned an outdoor event. However, the unpredictable British summer posed a significant challenge. An entertaining referee-style host oversaw the games and a medal-giving awards ceremony for the winners and top competitors. The day included inspiring speakers and a DJ for evening entertainment. Organisers used three key areas: the Paddock enclosure, the M car park, and the Sprint Bar which provided cafe facilities for delegates. An informal BBQ added a relaxed and enjoyable element to the party, allowing employees to unwind and savour delicious food in a casual setting.
